Want to improve your living?
Join the tenant committee!
As a member of the tenant committee, you get to have say in the management of your residential area. Whether you would like to have gym in your building or to organize a game night with other tenants, the tenant committee works rapidly between tenants and PSOAS.
Idea contest: the best idea wins 5,000 euros!
Participate in our idea contest for tenants! The best idea for improvement will win 5,000 euros! The sum will be used for the good of all PSOAS tenants, based on the winning idea. The winning idea needs to be as timeless as possible, to benefit tenants as broadly as possible, and to improve the well-being of students in some way. The idea could be a shared purchase that benefits all tenants or a new type of feast. Don’t hesitate to join! You can propose your ideas until 21 October 2018!
Schedule and participation:
The contest will be held from 27 September to 21 October 2018.
Send a presentation of your idea as a PowerPoint presentation or similar by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. We wish that the presentations include the following:
1. A description of the idea
2. Arguments for why this is the best idea
3. A cost estimate for the idea (and an estimate of future annual costs)
4. An implementation plan, schedule and team for the idea
Selecting the winner:
The winning idea will be selected at the meeting of the chairs the Tenant Committees (week 44). The chairs reserve the right not to select any of the ideas if none of the ideas is feasible. The winning idea will be announced on PSOAS’s communication channels, and the winner will be contacted personally.
Processing personal data
Personal data will never be: disclosed to third parties, and the data will be processed appropriately.
What is a tenant committee?
Every residential area has its own tenant committee, headed by a chairman. The committee consists of a group of members determined by the size of the area. The committee assembles multiple times per year to discuss common issues. All tenants can bring forth initiatives, regardless of membership!

What the committee does
The tenant committee is the best and fastest way to make initiatives to PSOAS about matters that are important to you. All tenants can make initiatives by presenting them to the chairman of their committee, or to a member. The initiatives can be about e.g. the use of shared spaces, repair needs, the development of yard areas, or free-time activities. The committee receives an annual budget for addressing tenants’ common needs.
Applying for membership
You can apply for membership by contacting the chairman of your tenant committee. If a chairman has not yet been elected, contact your landlord. The most important thing you need as a member is the will to improve your area of residence.
