As a member of the tenant committee, you get to have a say in the quality of life in your residential area while getting to know other students and arranging nice things for your neighbours.

A few of the areas have their own profile that stems from the nature or history of the area, giving it its distinctive personality. Which speaks to you most: the maritime Toppila, Kaijonharju with its Kalevala theme or Välkkylä, full of PSOAS history? Are you more attracted to the south or north side of the river?
Get to know the areasThe building of the Välkkylä area was a kick-start to the large-scale building of student housing in Oulu. The houses in Välkkylä have been named after important figures in the housing foundation and student housing in Oulu. Välkkylä’s latest house is the tower building UNO, encouraging its residents in communal living and an active lifestyle.
