PSOAS offers inexpensive living quarters to students in Oulu area.

PSOAS – Pohjois-Suomen opiskelija-asuntosäätiö was founded in 1971 to manage student housing in Oulu. It was founded by the Student Union of the University of Oulu, Domus Botnica foundation and Pohjois-Suomen oppilasasuntolat Oy.

Our mission is to organise housing services in Oulu for students doing post-primary school studies and to support international student and researcher exchange. We carry out our mission by offering our tenants affordable apartments in terms of good financial management of the foundation.

Around 4,000 of our apartments are located in different parts of Oulu and we provide a home for approximately 5,600 students. Foundation’s turnover is 18 million euros.

Apartment types

PSOAS offers modern and comfortable student apartments. You can search for a home of just the right price and size for your needs from our apartment selection.

Shared apartment

A room in a shared apartment or Solu as we call it, is the gem of student housing! Solu offers privacy and peace in its own lockable room. Kitchen and bathroom are mostly shared by roommates. In addition we have some shared apartments with private en suite. Solu is always a cost-effective option and is also suitable as a shared apartment for a group of friends.

Studio apartment

For those who value their own peace, a small apartment for one student is an excellent choice. When looking for a studio apartment, especially during the high season, you should be prepared for a longer waiting time than other forms of housing.

Family apartment

Family apartments have mostly 2–3 rooms and a kitchen. Couples, families with children and single applicants can apply for family apartments. Family apartments are also well suited as shared apartments for friends.
