In spring 2026, PSOAS organised an overall patch design competition inviting residents to design a new overall patch for PSOAS. The aim was to involve residents in building the PSOAS community and to create a patch that reflects student housing in Oulu and the values PSOAS stands for.
The competition attracted a wonderful range of creative entries. The best entries were selected as finalists, and everyone was welcome to vote for their favourite. The vote attracted hundreds of responses and it was a close race right until the end.
The winning design is by Art by Anj. Congratulations on a fantastic piece of work! The design will be produced as the new official PSOAS overall patch.
A huge thank you to everyone who entered and voted! The competition showed just how much creative talent and community spirit there is among PSOAS residents. Every entry was appreciated, and we’re grateful for the enthusiasm shown throughout.
