PSOAS revises rents by 6 % from 1 March 2026. In addition, parking space fees will go up between 2–7 €/month depending on the type of space. We want to be transparent about why this change is necessary and what factors influenced the decision.

Reasons for the increase

PSOAS rent levels have been very moderate, and there were no rent increases in 2021 or 2024. However, rise in costs has been so significant in recent years that the current rent level no longer covers housing expenses.

Key reasons for the rent increase:

The increase is not just extra cost, as it is essential to maintain services and keep properties in good condition.

This adjustment ensures that we can continue to maintain our properties, provide high-quality housing services, and make improvements that enhance everyday living comfort.

What does the increase mean in practice?

PSOAS apartments remain among the most affordable student housing options in Finland. In euros, the increase is reasonable compared to the general rise in housing costs. For example, on a 300-euro rent, the increase is 18 euros per month, and on 500-euro rent, 30 euros.

We understand this adjustment may raise questions, which is why we want to inform you well in advance and openly about the change. PSOAS is committed to keeping student housing comfortable and functional also in the future.
