Organiser of the lottery

Pohjois-Suomen opiskelija-asuntosäätiö (PSOAS)

The organiser of the lottery is hereinafter referred to as ‘Organiser’.

Eligibility to participate, period of participation, and how to participate

All natural persons living in Finland are eligible to participate in the lottery. For persons under 18 years of age, participation requires the consent of a parent/guardian. The period of participation for the first stage of the lottery is October18th to 25th 2023 and for the second stage October 26th to November 2nd 2023. The voting that is required to participate in the lottery is carried out here by clicking the voting button for one’s favourite styles. The winners of the vote are chosen based on how many votes they get from the public voting.

The prizes, choosing and announcing the winners, notifying the winners

For each voting, lots will be drawn among all voters for a gift card to Tuba Food & Lounge of EUR 100 in value. The prize of the first lottery will be drawn on October 27th 2023 and the second on November 3th 2023.

The winners are notified individually based on their contact details or via social media. The winners must be able to pick up their prizes from either one of PSOAS’ offices. If the winner cannot be reached within two weeks from announcing the winner, a new winner may be chosen as replacement. If the prize is left unused, it will not be compensated and it cannot be converted to cash. If the prize is unavailable at the end of the lottery, a similar product will be used as prize. 

Consenting to the rules and right to change the rules

By participating in this lottery, the participants consent to these official rules of the lottery. Any ambiguities related to applying and interpreting these rules are resolved by the Organiser. The Organiser of the lottery reserves the right to change the rules. The Organiser has the right to disqualify participants who act fraudulently or in violation to the rules. If the winner of the lottery has acted in violation to these rules or otherwise illegally, they will be disqualified. The Organiser has the right to remove from the contest any such participants who try to abuse the lottery in order to change the probabilities of the results.

Organiser’s liability

The winner of the prize exempts the Organiser from any liability caused (or allegedly caused) by the winner’s participation in this lottery or receipt of the prize. Additionally, the winner of the prize exempts the Organiser from any liability regarding the subsequent use of the prize or any defects therein, and from any liability regarding bodily harm or damages caused (or allegedly caused) by the winner’s participation in this lottery or acceptance or use of the prize. This discharge shall not, however, diminish the rights of the consumer under the Consumer Protection Act. The Organiser’s liability to the participants shall not exceed the value or amount of the prize mentioned in these rules.

Collection of data and purpose of processing personal data

Pohjois-Suomen opiskelija-asuntosäätiö collects e-mail addresses for the purpose of delivering the prize of the lottery. The winner will be contacted via the e-mail address provided. Participation data will be processed anonymously.

Protecting the register

The collected register is electronically stored in the psoas.fi website register that is inaccessible by outsiders. Psoas.fi always acts in compliance with Article 44 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and we also require the processors of personal data to do so. Psoas.fi only transfers data to such countries outside the EU that are capable of ensuring protection of personal data in compliance with the GDPR.

Right to inspect and correct your data

You have the right to inspect what data about you has been recorded in the registers and to have any inaccuracies in your data corrected. You have the right to demand for your personal data to be deleted at any time.

The register will be stored until 31 December 2024, after which the data are deleted.
