Tenant committees
The tenant committee is the contact channel to PSOAS for the tenants. Committees also arrange various leisure time activities.
The tenants make decisions in the tenant meetings that are held at least once a year. The tenant meetings select nominees to the PSOAS Board of Management and Executive Committee. Both of these have two tenant representatives. Tenant meetings can also elect a nominee to be a tenant-appointed supervisor to check on PSOAS finances and administration.
The tenant meeting will elect a tenant committee for one or two years to take care of the common issues of the location. The tenant committee will select a president for the committee. Almost every PSOAS location has a tenant committee.
The Duties of the Tenant committee
Decisions about using of hobby rooms and clubrooms, holding joint cleaning parties, arranging club and similar activities, and other related issues.
Make proposals and negotiate about budget, rents, repairing, new tools for gardening, maintenance, cleaning etc.
Supervision of daily maintenance and cleaning as well as repairs.
PSOAS will provide the tenant committee with the necessary information regarding the building's issues. These include budgeting and rent plans, repair plans, and maintenance and cleaning service agreements.
