Resident's Guide
Right to live in the apartment
You can live in your apartment until you graduate. We regularly check your right to live in the apartment and we will notify you of this by mail, too.
If you are serving in the army, doing civil service or are going abroad for the year, you can suspend your rental agreement. Your deposit is not returned and you retain the right to live in a PSOAS apartment. Unfortunately we cannot ensure that you get the same kind of apartment when you return. For example if you live in a studio we may offer you a shared apartment when you return.
Tenants should notify us of their return two (2) months in advance so that a new apartment can be arranged. The starting point of living in a PSOAS apartment can be delayed until the following autumn, at most. Before you sign a new rental agreement, you will have to prove that you are continuing your studies.
