Maintenance

Because the Campus -network is a pretty large uniform data network we have to perform maintenance on the network weekly. Maintenance cannot always be done without disturbance in the traffic. If the outage caused by the maintenance takes less than 5 minutes and the disturbance concerns less than 100 users it won't be announced beforehand.

Longer outages will be announced on CampusNet news pages, 2 days prior to the outage and on the notice boards. If maintenance causes changes in the settings of your computer we shall send you information about changes by post. The maintenance work is mainly done between 8.00-12.00 am.

DNA Ltd has maintenance outgages every month's secon Wednesday between 00:30-06:00.

The work may cause outages in data transfer between the local data network and the outside world. In addition, there may be outages within the local data network. We also perform maintenance on Internet servers. This work may cause outages in Internet services (Web, e-mail, IRC, news, the Baana modem pool and ADSL services as well as firewall services).
