Oulun Energia is installing new electricity meters in Yliopistokatu 26.2.-1.3.2013.

The installation work causes power failures in these houses.The power failures cause outahes in CampusNet. The power failure 26.2. in Yliopistokatu 2 caused outages in CampusNet in Syynimaa, Virkakatu, Puulinnankatu, Linnanmaa and Kaijonharju.

Due to a faulty hardware connected to Campus network there were outages in CampusNet connections 4.12. in Yliopistokatu 38-46. The fault was repaired at 10.30 am.

CampusNet outages ocuurred also in Tervakukkakuja 4.12.2012 from 10.45 am to 11.15 am.

Today the 19th of September there was an outage in CampusNet service between 12 am and 1 pm. The outage was caused by a tenant's faulty hardware connected to the network. Unfortunately, it is possible that the problem may repeat itself. Our CampusNet staff will do their best to locate the faulty equipment to get rid of the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

On Sunday the 9th of September there was a fault in CampusNet registration from 1am to 12am. The fault has now occurred several times during September and we have asked for a clarification from DNA, the operator offering the log-in service. Once we receive the clarification we will inform tenants about it. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

On the 5th of Septemer from 8 am to 9 am there was again problems with CampusNet log-in similar to the problems 30.8 and 1.9. During the problem starting new sessions was not possible but ongoing sessions faced no problems. DNA has fixed the problem and CampusNet is working again.

On Saturday the 1st of September there was an interruption in CampusNet log-in similar to the interruption 30.8. The interruption lasted from 7am to 9pm. During the problem starting new sessions was not possible but ongoing sessions faced no problems. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

On Thursday the 30th of August there was an interruption in CampusNet log-in. The interruption lasted for about 2 hours from 11am to 1pm. During the problem starting new sessions was not possible but ongoing sessions faced no problems. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

CampusNet was out of order the 18th of May from 12.30 pm to 2.45 pm in Yliopistokatu 1, Rakentajantie, Tellervontie, Kalervontie, Tapiontie and Tervakukkakuja. The fault was due to a broken power supply in Yliopistokatu.

Outages in Internet connections occurred in Kajaanintie 32 and Kajaanintie 36 on Friday the 3rd of February from 4 pm to 6.30 pm and on Saturday the 4th of February from 8 am to 12 pm. Outages in Internet connections also occurred in Ylioppilaantie 8 and Ylioppilaantie 10 on Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th of February. The connections in Ylioppilaantie were fixed 5.2. at midnight.

The problems were caused by the electrical network.

On Monday the 19th of December there were some interruptions in CampusNet services between 11 am and 1.15 pm. The problems were caused by a hardware malfunction. CampusNet hardware has been modernized lately and some adjustments to the new equipment will be necessary during the rest of the year. We apologize any performance problems that the adjustments may cause.

Earlier we announced the improvements that are about to be made on CampusNet at the beginning of 2012. Now the details of the improvements have been finalized. The new Internet capacity of the free CampusNet connection will be 10/10M whereas the bandwidth so far has been 5/3M. The chargeable connection option will be 100/10M in the future and the monthly fee will remain 10 €. The changes will take effect automatically after logging out and back in to CampusNet after 1.1.2012. Without the new login the profile will not be updated.

The changes listed above will apply in most of PSOAS locations but there are a few exceptions. In Virkakatu 3 and Domus Botnica the house cabling is limiting the bandwidths so that in the first one the connection capacity is 10/1M and in the latter one 1/1M. The chargeable connection option is not available in these locations. There are, however, a few tenants in Domus Botnica to whom a 10/10M connection has been provided in the past through special arrangements and they will have the right to keep it without the monthly fee since January the first. In Tervakukkakuja, Rantakatu and Sellukatu the frame connections are constituting ”bottlenecks” that limit the overall capacity so that the chargeable connection option cannot be offered. In these locations the free connection has, however, the capacity of 10/10M just like in other locations.

In a survey conducted earlier tenants saw the current topology of CampusNet important and therefore the network structure will remain the same also after the improvements about to be made. The topology enables tenants to share data with each other at the bandwidth of 100/100M. This internal CampusNet capacity is not dependent on the tenant’s internet capacity (whether it is 10/10M or 100/10M). For the five exception locations mentioned above the internal CampusNet capacity will, however, be the same as the Internet capacity.

The proxy service (netcache.psoas.suomi.net) that has been used by a few PSOAS tenants will be abolished at the beginning of 2012. The usage of the service has been so low that paying its relatively high price was no longer worthwhile. The Proxy service has only been used by the tenants who have enabled it from their web browser. Abolishing it does not have any effect on the other tenants’ internet usage.

The measures that are necessary for the improvements will have some impacts on the performance and usage of CampusNet. During the night between Tuesday the 13th and Wednesday the 14th of December there will be an interruption in the internet services. The outage will be kept as short as possible. On Wednesday the 14th and Thursday the 15th the performance of the network may be temporarily lower than usually.

After the changes we will be able to offer You improved surfing and bandwidths that will outperform those of most other lessors!

Due to a fault device there were outages in CampusNet in Paalikatu 13 and Yliopistokatu 8 last wekend.

The faults were repaired on Monday morning 28.11 by 8.45 am.

Internet connections of Rautatienkatu 8 (Etappi) were disconnected from the 26th to the 27th of October. The disconnection was due to a fault in the power network and lasted from 3 pm to 9.30 am. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

PSOAS

Due to a borken device there were outages in Virkakatu 5 H Internet traffic 9 - 10.10.2011.

Due to a fault in a device there were outages in the Internet connections in Yliopistokatu 23 16-17.9.2011. The fault was repaired 17.9. at 9.05 am.

Last week (week 34) there occured outages in the CampusNet traffic in Yliopistokatu, escpecially in Yliopistokatu 38-46.

The problems were caused by a router in the CampusNet network. The router is now removed from the network and CampusNet is working normally again.  

There were problems in CampusNet traffic 24.5.2011 due to a tenant device connected to the network.

In Kandinte 3 E the Campus network was out of order 17.2. The fault has now been repaired.

The increasing of the CampusNet speed 9.2.2011 caused problems in the Internet traffic in some areas. The problems were fixed at 3.15 pm.

Last night (13.1.) between 6 pm and 10 pm CampusNet did not work in Syynimaa, Linnanmaa, Kaijonharju and Tervakukkakuja due to a fault in DNA devices.The fault is now reparied.

CampusNet doesn´t work properly in Virkakatu 3. The fault will be repaired as soon as possible. 

On Friday the 8th of October the Internet traffic failed in Yliopistokatu 44 due to device failure. The connections were repaired on Sunday the 10th of October,

A faulty router in Yliopistokatu 1 disturbed the CampusNet traffic in Linnanmaa, Kaijonharju, Syynimaa and Virkailijakylä 1 - 2.9.2010.

The fault is repaired and the CampusNet is working normally again. 

In Linnanmaa and Kaijonharju the CampusNet connections are not working properly or are working very slowly. We are searching for the fault and will repair it as soon as possible,

Due to maintenance work there will be outages in CampusNet on Monday the 23rd of August from 8 am to 12 am.

Due to the thunderstorm last night there are outages in CampusNet Internet traffic in Syynimaa.

Some of the broken devices has been repaired and the rest will be in order by tomorrow (15.7). 

Due to thunderstorm CampusNet connections were broken 15.5. at 5.04 pm. in Tellervontie, Kalervontie and Tapiontie. The fault was fixed 16.5.at 9.32 am. We are sorry for the inconvenience this caused our tenants.

The CampusNet was out of order in Yliopistokatu 40 from 5 am to 4.30 pm. PSOAS would like to thank for the tenants in Yliopistokatu 40 for their help.

A new equipment has been installed in Peltola the 17th of March. The network problems are fixed and the network is now working normally.

DNA has had problems with the backbone switch 14-15.3. Due to the problem there have been outages in the network traffic in Peltola area.

The switch has been repaired on the 15th of March at 6 pm. Outages in network traffic can still be possible.

The CampusNet Proxy server was fixed the 2nd of February.

The Proxy server was out of use for 4 days. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The CampusNet proxy server (netcache.psoas.suomi.net) was broken the 29th of January 2010 at 5.35 am.

DNA has informed us that the server must be renewd. We will inform you on these pages when the server is in use again.

In Paalikatu 13 A  there were outages in CampusNet connections 9.9.2009 around 2:30 pm. The connections was repaired 9:pm.

In Peltolankaari 6 and 20 there were outages in CampusNet connections 25.8 - 26.8.2009 due to hardware failure. The connections were repaired 26.8.2009 11.57 am.

On Thursday the 6th of August the CampusNet connection stopped working in Välkkylä. A data cable was broken due to construction work in the yard. The cable will be repaired as soon as possible. We are sorry for the inconvenience this cause our tenants.

In Tapiontie, Tellervontie and Kalervontie there were problems in CampusNet 19. - 20.4.2009 due to harware failure. The connections were repaired 20.4.2009 8.30 am. We are sorry for any inconveniance this failure caused our tenants.

DNA performs extra maintenance work 17.4.2009 between 4 am and 6 am. During this time there will be outages in CampusNet for a few minutes.  We are sorry for the inconveniance this cause our tenants.

In CampusNet occureed problems 15.4.2009 in the morning. The name servers did not work and were renewed. When you sign into CampusNet the new name servers are in use. The new name servers are 62.241.198.245 and 62.241.195.246.

Due to power failure 16.4.2009 in Yliopistokatu there was a 15 minutes long outage in the CampusNet connections.

There was problems in CampusNet connections in 9.4.2009.  The fault was repaired by DNA 9.4.2009 by 7.30 am.

In January and February the speed of the Campus Internal network will be increased from 10 Mb/s to 100 Mb/s. The work will cause an outage of 3 - 5 seconds. In locations were the speed of the backbone network has to be increased the outage may last up to 10 minutes. All changes will be done before noon. This alternation does not in this stage concern all locations.

There was problems in CampusNet connections in 14-15.1.2009.  The fault was repaired by DNA 15.1.2009 by 9.50 am.

The problem occurred in the internal traffic in the Campus network. The network card notified "Limited or no connectivity" (Windows XP). The problem did not affect the Intrenet traffic and the fault was repaired 27.10.2008 at 7.30 am.

Due to problems with DHCP there occurred interruptions in the internal traffic 17.10 - 20.10.2008. The problems were fixed the 21st of October in the morning.

The users have installed a lot of routers and bridges were the DHCP to Campus network is in use. This prevents CampusBaana installations to older Windows operating systems (Windows 2000 and older) and the internal traffic in the network. Please, check that your router DHCP settings are in order otherwise your Internet connection will be closed.

The outages concerned users in Yliopistokatu, Syynimaa, Kaijonharju, Tervakukkakuja, Virkakatu and Rakentajantie. The outages were caused by a hardware failure at DNA, The connections were fixed 12.30.

There may be outages in CampusBaana network on Tuesday 23.9.2008 from 0:00 to 2:00 am due to maintenance work by DNA.

On Wednesday the 10th of September between 1.45 am and 8.30 am there were some problems when logging in to CampusBaana. The fault was repaired by 8.30 am.

In September we will do maintenance work in Campus-network according to the timetable below.

The work will be done between 9 am and 10 am. The approximated outage time is 10 minutes.

On Monday the 12th of May the CampusBaana connection went off in some apartments in Paalikatu 14. The optical cable was broken due to the work in the yard. The CampusBaana connectios are temporarily fixed. The final reparation will be done when the optical cable is repaired. 

The network connectios in Rantakatu 6 did not work last weekend 29-30.3.2008. The fault was fixed 31.3 at 9 am.

In Rautatienkatu 8 there were outages in the network connections the 31st of March between 9 am and 11 am.

New www/DHCP server has been changed because of old server's disfunction.
The appearance of Campus network´s website (http://10.132.0.2) has been changed also but the same information is available.

There were problems with some CampusBaana network device during the weekend and it caused disturbance. The problem was solved on 25.2.2008 at 10 am.

The Internet connectios in Peltola and Välkkylä stopped working 21.1.2008 at 9.30 am due to a broken optical cable. The fault was repaired 21.1.2008 at 4.40 pm. We are sorry for the disturbance.
